Scotland offers an extraordinary array of mountain, coastal, low level and sport crags. Whether you are an indoor climber looking to branch out, a novice climber, are looking to learn to lead, get more slick and efficient on multi-pitch climbs or want some mileage on some of the classics in Scotland we can come up with a plan to suit your desires.
As a Mountaineering and Climbing Instructor I can support your learning through essential rock climbing skills such as;
- using a harness, helmet and climbing shoes
- belaying using ropes and various friction devices
- gear selection – including ropes and rock protection
- route selection
- leading and setting up belays
- problem solving and abseiling
The aim will always be to start at the right level and progress at your speed in order to get the most out of the time, weather and conditions have a great time.
Whether your needs are focused on guided climbing or on learning the ropes (sorry!) you can be assured of an enjoyable and valuable experience. For guided rock climbing we work with up to two clients, an introduction to climbing with up to four clients. We would be based from Fort William or Aviemore; other options are available.
